Vaktija for macOS
A native macOS menu bar app and desktop widgets showing Sarajevo prayer times with a live countdown to the next salah.
Most prayer-time apps live on the phone. On a Mac you end up with a browser tab or a phone on the desk just to know how long is left until the next prayer.
Vaktija puts that information where you already look: the macOS menu bar. It shows a live countdown to the next salah, the full day's prayer times in a popover, and small, medium and large desktop widgets, with optional reminders before each prayer and at the exact time.
It is a native Swift app with a WidgetKit extension, currently set up for Sarajevo using AlAdhan calendar data. Times are cached so it keeps working offline, and the cache is shared with the widgets so they stay in sync with the app. The source is public on GitHub.
