Development of a new storefront extension for a Shopify application, rewriting an approximately 20,000-line legacy implementation using React.
Releasit COD Form & Upsells is a Shopify app that gives merchants a customisable cash-on-delivery order form along with upsell offers. I worked on it as part of my employment at ShopCircle; the source code is private.
The storefront part of an app like this runs on merchants' live shops, where it directly affects conversions, so it has to be fast, reliable and flexible. My main project was building a new storefront extension in React, replacing an approximately 20,000-line legacy implementation while expanding what merchants could customise and improving security and maintainability.
