HookForge
A self-hosted webhook inspection platform: capture, search, replay, forward and automate real webhook traffic.
Integrating with webhooks — payment providers, Git hosts, Shopify, chat platforms — usually means guessing what the provider will send, squinting at its delivery logs, and redeploying to test each change.
HookForge gives you a URL that captures every request sent to it so you can see exactly what arrived: headers, query string, body and uploaded files. From there you can search the traffic, replay a request to your app, forward live traffic to a local service, return custom responses to simulate success or failure, and automate reactions with small workflows.
It is a self-hosted alternative to hosted webhook inspectors for developers and small teams who want to keep that traffic on their own server. It ships as a single Go binary with an embedded React UI and SQLite, plus a CLI that tunnels a public endpoint to your machine.
Key features
- Request inspector with parsed JSON/form bodies, uploaded files and raw HTTP view
- Search with a small query language
- Configurable responses, including rule matching, templating and delay/failure simulation
- Replay and auto-forwarding with SSRF protection on outbound targets
- Step-based workflows and cron schedules
