A website publishing daily death notices, obituaries and funeral announcements from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, death notices (smrtovnice), obituaries (osmrtnice) and remembrance notices (čitulje) are an important way for families to inform their community, but they are traditionally printed and posted locally. People who live in another city or abroad — a large part of the diaspora — easily miss them.
eSmrtovnice brings these notices online in one place. It publishes daily notices from across the country, including announcements of funerals and dženazas, so people can stay informed wherever they are.
The site has been in production since 2022. It started as an Express and EJS application and has since been rewritten in TypeScript.
